Summary0000707: Hard to USB plug-in/plug-out and stand out issue
DescriptionAfter the discussion internally, there are two solutions to resolve the USB issues.
1. New tooling for top cover: it needs at least 6 weeks to proceed with this solution.
=> It has a substantial impact on the project schedule.
2. Modify the USB connector position on PCB: shrink USB connector space inward by 0.9mm
=> The impact is more slight compared with solution 1.

To consider the project schedule, we'd like to take solution 2 to fix the USB issues.
However, we need your comment for the KC certification because it supposedly shall use the final PCBA to proceed with KC certification.

Because it also impacts KC certification, could we have a call to discuss this issue on 5/7? Thank you.

Hi Mr. Yoon and SB, I attached the explanation for your reference.
* after re-confirmation, we have to shrink USB connector space inward by 1.0mm

Hi Sheila,

I'm requesting the PCB-modified rendering with housing applied.
Since it's difficult to check a real improvement sample due to the schedule, we want to compare the current state and the improvement status by the rendering.
Therefore, please provide a rendering of current and improve states ASAP.

Hi Emma, do you mean you need the sectional drawing for the current situation and improved situation to compare?

Hi Sheila,
Yes, you are right.
And then, we need also 3D rendering drawing from viewing the outside.
Please help to let us check the material as soon as possible.

Hi Emma, I attached the details for your consideration. By the way, can I have your official comments on KC certification? Will you need to retest any part of KC?

Hi Sheila,
This improvement to shrink USB connector inward by 1mm does not affect KC certification.
Thank you.
